From Broadcast Depth Episode 16: ‘The Other 48 Days’ & ‘Collision’

FBCD Episode 16

Ana Lucia Cortez is one of the most hated characters in LOST history. After watching her first flashback episode, it isn’t hard to figure out why. Our hosts discuss the curious case of Ana Lucia, what went wrong, and some parallels to the character of Kate. The other flashback catches us up on the lives of Tailies in the first 48 days on the island, putting some missing pieces of the puzzle together in the process. From Broadcast Depth Episode 10: ‘Deus Ex Machina’ & ‘Do No Harm’

From Broadcast Depth

This week, Kevin and Ben say farewell to the first major player in LOST whose time on the Island has come to an end. As this podcast reaches double digits, a few key moments occur as LOST heads to the end of its first season. Locke once upon a time told Walt his Dad was not “a cool guy”, and as you’ll find out, that turns out to be a huge understatement (spoiler: his Mom isn’t so great either.) Not nearly as interesting is Jack’s wedding day, which belongs somewhere more akin to the Hallmark channel than it does LOST, gets it’s own burial of sorts on this weeks episode too. Continue reading From Broadcast Depth Episode 10: ‘Deus Ex Machina’ & ‘Do No Harm’

From Broadcast Depth Episode 9: ‘…In Translation’ & ‘The Numbers’

From Broadcast Depth

Ah, yes, THE numbers. Hurley’s first flashback episode (finally!) gives us six numbers that dramatically shape the show forever, and add a new segment to the podcast. Without a doubt, is it one of the most crucial (and fun) episodes of the first season. Jin also fills in the blanks of the first flashback episode with Sun and himself, and wouldn’t ya know it? Not all is what it seems! After this week, no episode of From Broadcast Depth will be the same again.

We discover what led to Michael and Walt reuniting and some of the strange activity that has occurred in Walt’s life, and more on the comic book with the polar bear.
