728 days after the penultimate season, the final season of Better Call Saul was unleashed on the world – well, one half of it anyways.

Kevin and Jerome go in-depth on the first half of the season, discussing all the lead characters, the incredible storytelling, some fun callbacks to previous seasons, the joy of seeing old characters once more, and the sadness of saying goodbye, for good, to others.

They end the episode with some specific predictions for the fate of the three remaining characters in the second half of the final season, which our hosts will discuss come September.

Reel Bad – A Breaking Bad Podcast: Episode 12 (Better Call Saul Season 5)

The fifth season of Better Call Saul may be the best yet, and Jerome and Kevin break down why.

A long discussion of the characters and stories leads to some gushing over some of the series’ top episodes, and bellyaching over the Emmy snubs of Bob Odenkirk and especially Rhea Seehorn. Some old Breaking Bad characters make some first time appearances as well, and we see some characters going down the darker paths that will lead them to their Breaking Bad destination.

With the show’s final season in abeyance, Kevin and Jerome lay down some Season 6 predictions to end the episode, and reveal their next project. Don’t worry, Reel Bad will wrap up whenever Season 6 is released!

Reel Bad – A Breaking Bad Podcast: Episode 11 (Better Call Saul Season 4)

Jerome and Kevin are back for the first of two episodes this month. They discuss the greatness of Better Call Saul, season four, a season that sees both Jimmy McGill and Mike Ehrmantraut break bad while Gus Fring tightens his grip on the New Mexico drug scene. Somehow this episode is less than two hours.

Reel Bad – A Breaking Bad Podcast: Episode 10 (Better Call Saul Season 3)

As “Reel Bad” enters double digit episodes, Jerome and Kevin explore the most robust season of Better Call Saul to date.

The return of a beloved Breaking Bad character shakes up things in the Albuquerque drug scene, causing problems with the Salamanca family and causing Nacho to make some difficult choices when Hector’s orders begin to affect his family. Jimmy’s relationship with his brother Chuck turns ugly in the wake of Jimmy learning Chuck taped their encounter at the end of Season 2.

This leads to a battle in court, and one of the hosts favorite episodes of the entire series. Meanwhile, Kim is burning the candle at both ends to make her solo career work. Finally, as Jimmy looks to help make ends meet, we see him inch ever closer to his Breaking Bad fate.

Jerome and Kevin continue to discuss the Breaking Bad universe as they examine the second season of Better Call Saul. They discuss the deterioration of the sibling relationship between Jimmy and Chuck, the budding romance of Jimmy and Kim, as well as the ongoing drug wars of the southwest. This show does in fact give us a lot Jimmy thankfully.

With the entire Breaking Bad series behind them, Jerome and Kevin shift gears to the Breaking Bad prequel and spinoff sensation Better Call Saul!

Kevin and Jerome break down the first season first by discussing the characters who come from the Breaking Bad universe, then the characters who are introduced in BCS, with the discussions revolving around the stories of the season, navigating the BB universe in this unique context, and what Jerome believes is the pay off to a long con by Kevin.

Jerome also discusses his general thoughts on prequels and spinoffs, and what he knew about BCS before beginning this portion of the podcast project.

What started as an idea for brief epilogue to celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Breaking Bad” turned into a feature length Netflix film. “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie” serves as a coda to the hit television series that revolves around Jesse Pinkman, including flashbacks of his treatment under hostage to Todd and his crew of nazis, and how the collection of his experiences taught him how to handle life after meth.
