From Broadcast Depth Episode 12: ‘Exodus’ Parts 1-3

From Broadcast Depth

The Season 1 finale is here! This king-sized episode covers the three-part finale in great detail. The raft is ready to set sail, a plan is put into motion to crack open the hatch, but those plans may be thwarted by those pesky ‘Others’ Rousseau has warned us about. In the flashback, we see how a number of survivors’ days began right before they boarded Flight Oceanic 815. This episode also provides The Most Important Conversation In The Show. Kevin and Ben wrap up the season with overall thoughts and a look into the bonus features and deleted scenes from the DVD and Blu-Ray. Join us for over two hours of discussion as we reach our first podcast milestone! Continue reading From Broadcast Depth Episode 12: ‘Exodus’ Parts 1-3

From Broadcast Depth Episode 11: ‘The Greater Good’ & ‘Born to Run’

From Broadcast Depth

The raft is just about ready to set sail, and a few more survivors find out about the hatch, but first Boone needs to be laid to rest, figuratively and literally. We also discover why Sayid was on Oceanic Flight 815 and Kate gets the shaft yet again in another bad flashback. At least it’s better than “Whatever The Case May Be.” We’re one episode away from the Season 1 finale, so things are getting cooking as we get closer to the finish line. Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey Episode 12 – Ant-Man

Episode 12) Ant-Man.png

Ben & Matt set themselves the challenge of keeping an episode under an hour after a stretch of long ones… and failed. Just. Still, look at that glorious poster! Continue reading Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey Episode 12 – Ant-Man

From Broadcast Depth Episode 10: ‘Deus Ex Machina’ & ‘Do No Harm’

From Broadcast Depth

This week, Kevin and Ben say farewell to the first major player in LOST whose time on the Island has come to an end. As this podcast reaches double digits, a few key moments occur as LOST heads to the end of its first season. Locke once upon a time told Walt his Dad was not “a cool guy”, and as you’ll find out, that turns out to be a huge understatement (spoiler: his Mom isn’t so great either.) Not nearly as interesting is Jack’s wedding day, which belongs somewhere more akin to the Hallmark channel than it does LOST, gets it’s own burial of sorts on this weeks episode too. Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey Episode 11 – Avengers: Age of Ultron

Episode 11) Avengers Age of Ultron - NEW.png

Ben & Matt are back to review this outrageously expensive glorious mess of superhero nonsense in an episode that just about manages to be shorter than the runtime of the film itself. All hail the Age of Robert California!

From Broadcast Depth Episode 9: ‘…In Translation’ & ‘The Numbers’

From Broadcast Depth

Ah, yes, THE numbers. Hurley’s first flashback episode (finally!) gives us six numbers that dramatically shape the show forever, and add a new segment to the podcast. Without a doubt, is it one of the most crucial (and fun) episodes of the first season. Jin also fills in the blanks of the first flashback episode with Sun and himself, and wouldn’t ya know it? Not all is what it seems! After this week, no episode of From Broadcast Depth will be the same again.

Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey Episode 10 – Guardians of the Galaxy

Episode 10) Guardians of the Galaxy.png

Want to hear what it sounds like when Matt doesn’t get to do as much preparation as he’d like and has a mouth full of pasta when he and Ben start recording a podcast about Guardians of the Galaxy? Of course you do, you’re a person!

From Broadcast Depth Episode 8: ‘Homecoming’ & ‘Outlaws’

From Broadcast Depth

Oh you didn’t know? This is the second episode of From Broadcast Depth where episodes featuring Charlie and Sawyer are discussed. We take a look back at Charlie’s attempt to settle down and come clean and why that went awry.

Then, Sawyer travels to Australia in the hunt for the man who killed his daddy, and ends up breaking liquid bread with somebody else’s daddy. Josh Holloway gives a breakout performance in one of the best episodes of the season.

Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey Episode 9 – Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America - The Winter Soldier.png

Despite some audio issues and a format that rapidly got away from them, Ben & Matt were just about able to discuss one of the best reviewed movies under the Marvel banner, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and even managed to weigh in on the ‘Who is the best Chris?’ debate for good measure.
