Best League Member?
Superman getting stripped of his powers is always inevitably corny. It is just an acknowledgement that the status quo of him fully-powered removes too much dramatic tension from any story he is involved in. Here though the stakes at least felt appropriate for the occasion, and it was less goofy and more a meticulous plan/choice from an infamous villain. SO much more could have been done with this, but this was a Constantine film and not a Clark Kent film so.
Weak Link?
If you put Justice League in your title, you just need to not make Wonder Woman zombie bad guy because you do not know what to do with her. It’s the only thing you cannot do, and this is somehow not the first time it happened!
Worthy Villain?
Darkseid Is… of the lame apocalyptic stakes villain variety. That in and of itself is not interesting, BUT he had two things going in its favor; Tony Todd was excellent and gave one of the better voice performances in any DC animated film that I have ever seen. Darkseid was pretty sadistic on an intimate level, and that was kind of fucked up and cool. Not enough cool things in movies these days, but he was cool.
Recommendation?
This movie is not very good! It is in fact #VeryOk. It was has WAY too much ground to cover in a 90 minute flick, and there was just no way it was gonna be able to do it all well. It does however have some cool shit so it should be applauded for that. Slight Thumbs Down.
