At last, a television show that knows it’s a television show. Bizarrely, we think it’s better for it! Your hosts discuss the tight-knit cast, the consistent quality, the bombastic guest appearance and what it all means for the future.

The Superhero Pantheon: Morbius

So it’s come to this. Morbius finally came out. Sony threatened this film on su for three years, and here it is, all one hour and 45 minutes of CGI sludge with minimal plot but a fun Matt Smith performance.

Jerome and Brian spent so little time on the movie they decided to also discuss Bruce Willis briefly as well.

Marvel Mondays – Moon Knight: Episode 3

Plot summary: In Egypt, Khonshu pleads for the other gods to stop Arthur Harrow, while Marc, Steven and Layla contend with dangerous locals in an effort to find Ammit’s tomb.

Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey – Episode 28: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Ben & Matt continue their Marvel-lous (and never-ending) Journey through the history of the MCU.

Urghhhh. We all knew this day would come, but that doesn’t make your hosts any happier about it. Gather around one and all to hear about the woeful handling of John Walker, the passivity of the leads and how ill-equipped the show as to tackle racism, as well as the few high points.

At least Loki is next week!

The Superhero Pantheon – Spider-Man ’94: Episodes 14-16

‘The Insidious Six’, ‘Battle of the Insidious Six’ & ‘Hydro-Man’

Jerome and Brian are back discussing the Fox Kids animated series Spider-Man as they finally begin their season two conversation.

This week, Michael Morbius makes his debut while Shocker and Rhino insist on wearing their costumes at all times. Oh, and Spider-man is losing his powers and might be becoming… a mutant.

Marvel Mondays – Moon Knight: Episode 2

Plot summary: Steven meets Layla, the wife of his alter ego, and is thrown into the lion’s den of Arthur Harrow’s cult and their mystical war.

The Matt Signal Beyond – Batman Beyond Comics: Part 4 (The Rebirth Era)

Contrary to my original claim I wouldn’t be covering the Batman Beyond comics because there are so many more of them than their BTAS/TNBA equivalents… let’s take a look at Terry McGinnis’ comic book exploits over the years.

These books can be divided into four distinct eras, and we’ll finish up with the longest and most recent, Dan Jurgens’ Rebirth Era.

The Matt Signal Beyond – Batman Beyond Comics: Part 3 (The Tim Drake Era)

These books can be divided into four distinct eras, and the worst of them is finally upon us, as Dan Jurgens takes the helm for… The Tim Drake Era.

Ben & Matt’s Marvellous Journey – Episode 27: WandaVision

Ben & Matt continue their Marvel-lous (and never-ending) Journey through the history of the MCU.

Their look back at 2021 begins with Marvel’s first proper adventure into the medium of television, and boy is there a lot of television involved! They talk the gimmick, the cast, future ramifications and have a difficult call to make with their All-Marvel list.

Oh, and if you’re curious, Matt DID have COVID but has since recovered.
